Hi, I'm Maria.
My name is Maria Viglianisi and I'm a publishing professional based in Italy.
I am an editor, proofreader, translator and independent researcher with a soft spot for books by forgotten women authors. My work has been featured in On the Road: Verso una nuova storia dei rapporti culturali tra Italia e Stati Uniti and I am co-editor of a literary magazine, "L'Audacia". I also talk a lot about books on my Instagram page @aureovagante.

Manuscript evaluation
Everyone is a little blind to their own weaknesses. I help you understand what can be better in your writing, which are its strong points and what type of work is needed.
Copy Editing
Sometimes copy editing means making your text adhere to certain editorial conventions, sometimes it means fixing grammar, clarity and content together. My own specialty is editing translations or texts written by non-native speakers, but I love all my texts equally.
Proofreading
Typesetting can be tricky, so it doesn’t hurt for me to make sure there is no embarrassing typos or formatting problems before you submit or print.
